Colchester man faces charges of hunting from truck

CAMBRIDGE, Vt. (AP) - A Colchester man is facing charges of shooting deer from the road while in his truck.

State game wardens say they placed a fake deer in Cambridge on Sunday after getting complaints of people shooting at deer from a road.

Wardens say they saw a truck stop and the driver shoot at the deer from the driver's seat.

When the wardens announced their presence, the driver sped away. The wardens pursued the truck for several miles and saw it drive behind a building. They arrested 22-year-old Justin Andrews for having a loaded long gun in a motor vehicle, shooting from a vehicle and failing to stop for a warden.

Andrews is scheduled to appear in court in January. It was not immediately known if he's being represented by an attorney.
