Dorset library hosts mixer for young adults
"The Dorset Library has been working to become a central community gathering place for the young, old and everyone in between," Library Director Erica Shott said in a release.
Young adults in their 20s and 30s are welcome to this informal mixer to meet others in the area, enjoy provided snacks, and talk about their favorite books (no required reading necessary), movies or any other interests. Milla, the library pug, will also be in attendance for pets and snuggles.
Parents are welcome to bring their young children: the playroom on the library's second floor will be supervised by library staff so they can play and parents can enjoy the club.
The BYOB Club is a library-led initiative to establish young adult programming in the Shires region. The group meets once a month throughout the year and offers a variety of meet-ups and activities.
Additionally, save the date for the next event: a Frankenstein movie night on Friday, July 13, celebrating the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley's classic.
Ideas for future programming are encouraged; to offer suggestions or for more information on this event, contact Erica Shott, library director, at 802-867-4085 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
