Letter: Child advocacy group thanks 5 towns' voters

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Bennington County Association Against Child Abuse (Bennington County Child Advocacy Center), we would like to thank the voters in our community for their support on Town Meeting Day. We have gratefully received funding support from the towns of Bennington, Pownal, Sandgate, Shaftsbury and Woodford.

Our non-profit agency is dedicated to ensuring children and families involved in sexual abuse or egregious physical abuse cases receive consistent services from law enforcement, prosecution and protective services, including timely and effective education/counseling. In addition, we have provided abuse prevention programming to our local schools, preschool programs, and childcare providers.

If you are interested in learning more about what we do, volunteering, or have an interest in participating in one of our trainings, please visit our Facebook page @BCCAC05201 or our website www.bccac.org.

Joy Kitchell,

Executive Director BCCAC/SIU
