Thanks to all who made parade a success again

The Annual North Bennington Halloween Parade celebrated 25 years this year and all of us at Vermont Arts Exchange (VAE), would like to thank all who participated. By the look of the costumes it is clear that folks are getting more creative and serious about our favorite holiday of the year!

Big thanks to the judges, Charlotte Lyons, Matthew Patterson, Erin Lyons, Dare & Nathan Meunier (a thankless task), the award creators include Sandra Magsamen, Mark Barry, Gabrielle Rynes, Kristen Blaker, Jeb Gorham, Matthew Patterson and Leslie Kurland. A special thanks to Rhonda Ratray, VAE teacher and artist, who spearheaded the two Halloween Art Exhibits in the Village and oversaw the Coal Shed art flags. Berkshire Dance and Brian DeAngelo's Monument School drummers added a special beat and movement to this year's parade, thanks for bringing your talents as well! Our masks off to the community partners in North Bennington including the Village Trustees, Vol. N.B. Fire Dept., Highway Supervisor Norman LeBlanc, Art Whitman, Bennington P.D. and the support of Norshaft Lions who supply the crowd with the park, food, drink and give back proceeds to VAE in the end. It takes a Village to throw a Halloween Parade for 25 years! Thank you all!

See you next Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 at 4 p.m.
