Road closures for the week of April 16

BENNINGTON — The Town of Bennington has announced that PFOA water line extension work has resumed. This will require the following road closures:

Bard Road, Red Pine Road and Riverside Drive will be closed to through traffic through April 27 for PFOA water line extension work. Motorists are asked to find alternative routes. Local traffic, including buses, will be accommodated. Men and equipment will be in the roadway.

Murphy Road, from Route 67 to Austin Hill Road, will be closed to through traffic through April 27 for PFOA water line extension work. Motorists are asked to find alternative routes. Local traffic, including buses, will be accommodated. Men and equipment will be in the roadway.

Walloomsac Road will be closed to through traffic between Gypsy Lane and Fairview Street for PFOA water line extension work through May 4. Motorists are asked to find alternative routes. Local traffic, including buses, will be accommodated. Men and equipment will be in the roadway.

Silk Road will be closed to through traffic for PFOA water line extension work through May 11. Motorists are asked to find alternative routes. Local traffic, including buses, will be accommodated. Men and equipment will be in the roadway.

Park Street in North Bennington will be closed near the West Street/Church Street end only to through traffic for PFOA water line extension work. Motorists are asked to find alternative routes. Local traffic, including buses, will be accommodated. Men and equipment will be in the roadway.

In addition:

The winter overnight parking ban in Bennington has been lifted as of April 1.

Hydrant flushing begins April 23 and will run through May 5.
