Roadwork for the week of June 11

A number of road projects will be under way this week, potentially leading to delays, or requiring motorists to seek alternate routes.

PFOA WATER LINE EXTENSIONS

Austin Hill Road from Murphy Road to Bard Road will be closed to all traffic on Tuesday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. A large crane will be in the roadway. Motorists should fine an alternative route.

Bard Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic through June 15. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Gypsy Lane will be closed between Route 9/West Road and Walloomsac Road through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Hillside Street in North Bennington will be closed through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Matteson Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic from Rice Lane to Harlan Road through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Murphy Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic from Austin Hill to Henry Bridge through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Red Pine Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Riverside Drive will be reduced to one-lane traffic through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Royal Street in North Bennington will be closed through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Silk Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Susan Taylor Lane and Asa Way in North Bennington will be closed through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Walloomsac Road will be closed between Dermody Road and Fairview Street through Friday. Local traffic will be accommodated. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

PAVEMENT CORRECTION

Benmont Avenue will be closed on Tuesday from Main Street to Holden Street. Additional work will continue on Benmont Avenue the rest of the week, requiring one-lane closures. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Division Street will be closed Tuesday from Gage Street to Scott Street. Additional work will continue in this area the rest of the week requiring one-lane closures. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

McCall Street will be closed Tuesday as highway crews mill the road. Local traffic will be accommodated. Additional work will continue in this area the rest of the week, requiring one-lane closures. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Scott Street will be closed Tuesday from Park Street to Safford Street as highway crews mill the road. Local traffic will be accommodated. Additional work will continue in this area the rest of the week, requiring one-lane closures. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

ROUTE 9 PAVING PROJECT

Main Street (west end) from Convent Avenue to Monument Avenue will be reduced to one-lane traffic as sewer crews rebuild manholes. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Main Street from Morgan Street to Union Street will be reduced to one-lane traffic on Wednesday night. Water crews will be replacing a water main valve.

Route 9 from the junction of Route 279 to Wilmington will undergo paving and bridge joint work. Paving is expected to be completed this week. Work may require lane shifts and/or single-lane closures in the areas of active construction. Motorists are advised that they will still encounter more than one active operation on that stretch of road. Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays.

ROUTE 7 PAVING PROJECT

North Street from Main Street to County Street will be reduced to one-lane traffic as sewer crews rebuild manholes. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

South Street from Main Street to Hillside Street will be reduced to one-lane traffic on Monday night. Water crews will be replacing water main valves. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

South Street from Prospect Street to Crescent Boulevard will be reduced to one-lane traffic. Sewer crews will be rebuilding manholes. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

TOWNWIDE

Highway Crews will continue bridge cleaning & basic maintenance across town including crosswalk painting. Many streets will be reduced to one lane. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.
